David Walter

Writer and trainer

With long experience as a senior TV and radio correspondent and presenter, David Walter offers media and public affairs consultancy, speechwriting, video presentation, production and narration and training in media, crisis and presentation skills.

He has run training courses in writing skills for two of Clarity's clients - Royal Bank of Scotland and Wood Mackenzie.

During his radio and TV career, David was Paris Correspondent for BBC TV, Political Correspondent successively for ITN, Channel Four News and the BBC, a newsreader on Channel Four and BBC World, presenter of several Radio Four current affairs programmes as well as editions of Panorama (BBC 1) and Correspondent (BBC 2). He has also written extensively for the print media, and is the author of four books.

From 1998 to 2003, David was Director of Communications for the Liberal Democrats and fought the parliamentary seat of Torridge and West Devon in 2005. He has written speeches for the last three Lib Dem leaders.
